Courses and Studies on Shamanism includeNorth American Shamanism - the way of the Eagle
Shamanic practices
If you walked up to a person in Mexico and told them you wanted to become a Shaman they would begin to laugh. The role
of a true Shaman is a very heavy responsibility and a dangerous one. Most people practice backyard Shamanism. Simple techniques
and guidelines to connect with Spirit and help one's self.
Watching nature signs
One of the easiest things one can do is re-connect with nature and
observe the birds and animals that come into your life.
A study of animal totems, whether that be from the Lakota tribe, other
native American tribes, South American cultures, or references to
Nordic or Egyptian archetypes will help you start to interpret what
nature is trying to tell you. A class on connecting to spirit through
nature signs will be added to my workshop page in the near future.
Drumming Circles
The sound of the drum can bring on the tasmic state of the journey to one of the three worlds. Learn to work with animal totems and a mapping of the mind towards inner understanding.
